Petrifying Gaze: If any creature would start its turn within a 30ft. of the basilisk and also the two of them able to see each other and also the basilisk can force the creature to make a DC 12 Constitution saving throw if this monster isn’t incapacitated. But on a failed save, the creature magically begins to turn to stone and also is restrained. It must keep on repeating the saving throw at the ending of its next turn. On a success, this effect will be end. On a failure, the creature have been petrified until it freed by the greater restoration spell or else the other magic.
A creature which isn’t surprised can be averted its eyes to avoid the saving throw at its starting turn. Even though. if it does so, then it does not capable to see the basilisk until unless start of its next turn, whenever it can avert its eyes once again. But if it will look at the basilisk in the meantime and it must immediately make the save.
Suppose, if the basilisk monster sees its reflection within 30ft. of it in the bright light and also it mistakes itself for the rival and also targets itself with its gaze.
