Adult Copper Dragon Monster D&D 5e (5th Edition)

The ancient copper dragon 5e has a striking appearance because of its warm copper color tinged scales with a hint of blue. The wings on the dragon wyrmling 5e are structured similar to a brass dragon where it is connected to its body from the tip to the tail of the dragon. Copper dragons have humongous thighs and shoulder muscles because of being proficient at jumping and climbing.

Traits

  • Legendary Resistance(3/Day): If your dragon fails any of your saving throws then it can be chosen to succeed instead of it.

Actions

Multiattack: The copper dragon dragonvale can use its action, Frightful Presence and make 3 attacks after- one as a bite and the next two using its claws.

1. Bite: Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (2d10 + 7) piercing damage plus 5 (1d10) lightning damage.

2. Claw: Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d6 + 7) slashing damage.

3. Tail: Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d8 + 7) bludgeoning damage.

Frightful Presence: Any creature of the dragon’s choice that is within 120 feet of it and has an awareness of the same will be forced to perform a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or get 1 minute of frightened status. The creature gets to perform the saving throw at the end of its every turn ending the effect after a successful throw. If the effect of Frightful presence ends by its duration or the creature performing a successful throw, the creature gains immunity to it for the next 24 hours.

Breath Weapons(Recharge 5-6): The dragon can use one of the below breath weapons.

Acid Breath: The dragon takes out acid in a 60 feet line in front of it which is 5 feet wide. Each creature that is inside the area of the acid breath needs to make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw, on failing the saving throw, it will take 54(12d8) acid damage or half as much damage on successfully completing the saving throw.

Slowing Breath: The dragon wails out a gas in a 60 foot conical area. Each and every creature inside the area needs to perform a DC 18 Constitution saving throw and if they fail, the creature is limited from using reactions, gets it speed cut down by half and cant make more than a single attack on its turn. The creature is now allowed to use an action or bonus action on its turn but not both at the same time. This effect will last for a minute and the creature is allowed to perform the saving throw again after the end of its each turn to end the effect on a successful throw.

Legendary Actions

The copper dragon dragoncave can take any 3 legendary actions and one can be used at a time but only after another creature’s turn. Legendary actions used are regained for use at the beginning of the dragon’s next turn.

  • Detect: A wisdom(perception) check is performed by the dragon.
  • Tail Attack: The dragon attacks with its own tail.
  • Wing Attack (Costs 2 Actions): The dragon starts beating its wings and any each and every creature within 10 feet of range of the dragon will have to take a Dc 19 Dexterity saving throw and perform it successfully or take 13)2d6+6) lethal damage and get knocked to being prone. The dragon can then also fly for half of its flying speed.
