As a creature or as an object the wall cannot be occupied the same space then the wall can be accepted any shape that you wish. On any firm foundation, the wall has no need to be vertical in its shape or any other. The wall must be solid supporting with existing stone. Wall of Stone 5e spell can be used to create a ramp or to bridge a chasm.
